Need help identifying filter

I am thinking of buying this fish tank off craigs list, I asked the selller if that outside filter was a home made sump and he said he diddnt know can you guys give me a hand and tell me what you think it is, also I was going to try to get the tank for $150.00 do you think this is fair price?

I Have a 125 gallon fish tank,only used for fresh water. I aslo have to filters, 2 heaters, and I also have a big unique side filter that works real good. I'm looking to get 200 for everything.

Its a great price IMO either way. No idea what that sump thing is.
 
It might be a CPR. I'll look around and see if I can find the one I am thinking about.
 
I appreciate the help guys, wife gave me the go ahead if I can get it for $150.00. I am really excited about this tank, I will also need to build a stand and all the good stuff and then I can post some good pics on MFK.
 
It's certainly some kind of diy sump/bio, pictures not really clear enough to tell
 
Yeah that's a GREAT price on a 125 tank for 150 no doubt...you can scrap the 10 gallon DIY sump and run something market if you wanted. Maybe a FX5. Or keep the sump, maybe just put it below the tank and hide it better...hehe

Head to Home Depot and start building your stand. That is the fun part (for me at least).
