need help identifying my african cichlid

i recently bought an african cichlid and im not sure what it is at first i thought it was a venustus (Female) because theirs no blue in the face but after carefull observation iv noticed its mouth is very broad and the body is not very discs like.... please help if you can tall me what it is

hey thanks i think your right, just did some research and figured its the cousin of the venustus. i might end up giving it away get to big for my 55 gallon up to 10"+

In the past mine got to 6-8 inches pretty fast but grew very slowly after that you might be ok for a while.

They are a pretty neat fish
