Hey guys, last weekend my oscar in my 120 seemed to be stressing for some reason so i turned off the lights and just let him be thinking he was being moody, a few days after that though he stopped eating, so I did a water change thinking my parameters were out of whack and freaking him out or something. its been almost a week since hes last eaten. He went from just sitting on the bottom and being sulky and washed out to staying at the top near the heater. He occasionally dives down now to scratch his head on the gravel. He seems to be breathing only out of one of his gills now too, the other one stays closed. The GF came over today as well and pointed out that he had a thin wispy translucent looking thread thing kinda floating out of one of the gills. Ive searched around the net and found a couple similar cases but no diagnosis and nothing on the outcome of the fish. I have no idea what this could be but Im pretty positive its killing him. Help would be greatly appreciated.
