So I took a trip down to florida about 3 weeks ago and ended up catching this one and a half foot pleco..I tried researching what kind it was, but I'm not too sure...I also have been feeding it algee waffers and romaine lettece with very little success...any thoughts on what kind of pleco it is, and what I could try to feed it?
thank all!

its a common
stop feeding for a week and then try it
mybe that will work

Common Pleco /Hypostomus Plecostomus

Many are known as commons including hypostomus plecostomus, but I believe this is a pterygoplichthys pardalis. Also known as a common. One way to tell if it is a pterygoplichthys sp. is the number of dorsal rays. Pterygoplichthys will have 11 or more. Hypostomus sp. will have 8 or less. Also Hypostomus plecostomus tops out at around 12" I believe.

thanks for the input guys...any other ideas for food on a wild caught pleco? I'm gonna wait a few days then try feeding again
abarilot-it got snagged on my hook by accident so that wont work!
