chikiti china the chinese chicken
lately for the past week and a half, i've been following dieselmack guide in getting your fish off live feeders and into frozen/pellets. i recently acquire 2 tems @ approx 6-7 inch that are eating frozen shrimp and tilapia and want to get my mono's on frozen/pellets, but the mono's aren't taking the frozen shrimp i've been feeding the tems with. all they do is stare at it maybe they would take it in their mouths and spit it out, they only did that once and after that they never decide to try and go for it any more.

what am i doing wrong.

also my tem's dont eat much they only eat about 2-3 small pieces of a shrimp. is it fine if i just leave the shrimp on the floor or would that cause bad bacteria to grow.

never leave uneaten food in your tank first off...

to help you with your problem, go from feeder to cut food for the monos.. feed them a feeder and when they are alert and you have their attention at the top of the tank, flip a piece of shrimp in there. as for the tems.. they will eventually eat more, do more frequent water changes and their hunger for food should increase dramatically.

try silversides....then switch em to shrimp. the silversides are always a good starting point when switching to frozen.

silversides are a fish. U can get them frozen pretty much at any lfs that carries frozen food. Even petco and petsmart.
