hello all u fishkeepers out there. can you pls. help me with this. I saw a freshwater fish today in our local pet shop that the owner calls a high fin hammerhead, but doesn't really look like one. it has a black body that somewhat shape like a shortened mako shark, and also predatory. it grows relatively big, ( i wish i had a picture i try to get one later to show you) i suspect it is sone kind of a catfish but im really clueless. can u all pls. help me identify this fish, i kinda want to buy want and have it go together with my clown knife fish but im not sure if they are good to keep together. thsnks and god bless! i need help pls.

Never heard of fish being called that. Never even heard of a hifin hammerhead shark.

My LFS was trying to sell pangassius as hammerhead sharks. They dont sound like your hi-fin hammerheads but it just goes to show that these lfs keepers are marketing geniuses.
This is sarcasm by the way.
Apologies to all you reputable sellers.
