Are these indeed Salminus Hillari???? "The silver Dorado"

I honestly can't tell a Hillari from a Brycon dorado1.jpg dorado1.jpg dorado2.jpg Dentex. :( dorado3.jpg

Looks possible but don't think we've ever seen any pictures of them small... and they might be to small to ID with some taxonomic help

I've never seen one that small, either. They certainly have a passing resemblance to hilarii. Grow 'em out and let's see!
 
Don't know what species it would be. But based on the mouth/head shape, I would say they are definitely some species of dorado and not a brycon. I'm not an expert by any means though

Wondering if they could indeed be lil mini me minion Dorado!??!

I've always kept and really enjoyed Odoe. I'm thinking they may even end up in my big tank. So IF there's a Dorado that might work better with the timid Odoe I'm wondering if these could be those... The Odoe definitely didn't seem to care for the bigger Dorado.... But I'm starting to wonder if these could be the opposite and be even more pesky??? Not aware of too many people keeping these things so have no clue what they are like personality wise. The things are so stinking small have to put some size of them before I can get them into bigger tanks since there's rays everywhere and they are like huge guppie sized....

Ken you and Jib both have some very motivating groups of the golden guys! Very inspiring! Nothing compares to a group of Dorado in my opinion! Once taxes are done I'm hoping I might be able to afford some of the golden Dorado to add to this silver group. See I don't have a watch for my Dorado to match yet. :( I do have a wrench in my hand a lot though - maybe silver Dorado are more fitting? Maybe after taxes I could get a watch!?! :p;) HA ha! :) Have always loved Dorado. Miss my Brassies a lot, hope to have some again soon.... In the meantime THE big questions is are they even the lil guys? Hillari? I'm curious how big these smaller versions will actually get??? Will they turn out to be Bitcoin Dentex and kill eachother and shred my rays?!?! :mad: Theyre such lil spazzes right now I don't even think a guy can guess what they are OR what they're like? :confused:
