hello,i need your help and opinion
i have a 120 stocked with ca/sa cichlids, clown loaches, syn cats, redtailed black shark and i had my sajicas spawn in there and my male had a cut on his side and i normaly let it healup but this looked it had fugus so i added melafix and pimafix, added salt(right type) and this interpet anti internal bacteria treatment to help the wound. i have now read that you shouldnt use other meds while using it and should not be used with mormyrids? are clown loaches mormyrids? and the fungus has poped/gone and looks to be healing fine.but ick has come into the tank, the clown loach has it and some other cichlids. i added my syn.cats today but from my other tank.
so what would the best way to cure this out break without killing my fish? i have treated ick before but when it came with my other tank with clown loaches they died(all). what meds should i use? ive upped the temp to 84, it was 82.

if this matters it has been set up for about 6-7weeks and i was going to do my weekly w/c but stop b/c i saw this
i need help and advise on this quite quick.

david, it sounds like your doin good so far. the fungus has gone, you should do a water change first and foremost to remove old meds. second, take the carbon out of your filter, and third- get a cup of hot water and mix in salt- your cats might be sensitive to salt, so use less than recommended (1 Tsp for every 10 Gallons) after your hot water and salt is mixed up add it to your tank and keep the temperature where it is at..... you may have to add more salt again on the 3rd day of treatment.
I wouldnt add any other meds.
If you feel its necessary, add slimecoat/ water conditioner when you do your water change.
give it 3 days and your fish should improve! do a water change after their healed, and you should be good!

morymids are black ghost knifes, elephant noses.

Most synodontis cats tolerate salt very well so I doubt that you need to lthe ammount from 2 teaspoons/1 gallon. just watch for damage to the whiskers, that is the first place that salt intolerance will show up, but continue treatment for at least 10 days or you risk reinfection, Read the sticky on treating ich in this forum. Clowns, redtail labeos, and most sa/ca cichlids also tolerate salt very well.

thats for the help, the ick turned out to be not ick if that makes sense. iam not sure what it was but i took my sajica out because i thought it would be easyer to heal him in a small tank and he had whitespots but they didnt look normal so i cornered him and pushed water over him and they went off? i do have fine sand but not that fine. no one has it now and the sajicas doing well, i did have bloat on my clown loaches on fri/saturday. i think its when i throw in cichlid gold pellets and they go for one and just get air because they only get bloodworm and flakes which doesnt seem fatty and filling.
every things back to normal now:) every one looks fine and better, my nics and FM's have paired but:) and iam getting another tank because i want a seporate tank for my green texas, jag, gt and hopefully RT. also the jd pair are getting there own 55. so they will only be at the most 2 small pairs in the 120 which will stop a couple of fights and split fins
