Yesterday they were good and swimming actively. And today, when I woke up, the water became blur. and they were not active anymore. So, I decided to do water change.

What is their problem? They keep lying in the bottom of the aquarium, and not swimming around!! I also noticed that they sometimes open their mouth( it is like they want to throw out something from their body!)

I put salt and general aid!

Pls help n advice!

Post your water parameters. How big is your tank and how long has it been running? Sounds like your water parameters are off.

as far as i know your filter might have back fired and all of the poo and food cam back out and my oscars are usually like that when i do a water change and another thing is the oscar might have swallowed some of the poo and old food so they are trying to spit it out , oscars eat anything!

Water parameters are needed for sure. What is the temperature? Filtration? Water change regimen? Please stop adding treatments unless you know what exactly is happening. You are only harming your fish more than help them.

I dunno my readings, i think i have to buy 1 to check. But almost a year since fishes are there, there is no problem. it shall be cycled.
temperature:27'c. i have a box filtration.. I change the water weekly by 40%.

What shall I do?

Buy API liquid test kit and determine your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Post the results here. Are your oscars still lying on the bottom at this time? Do another water change by 40%. What dechlorinator do you use? If they continue gasping, your water may have high levels of ammonia and nitrite which is why I recommended buying a test kit to help you know the exact problem. Avoid test strips.
