So ive Only had these polar blue cichlids for about 3 weeks and I had noticed they laid eggs on the back of a piece of driftwood I have in my tank. I did as ich research as a could and fund that the eggs turn white if they are unfertilized and from what I could see behind the log they appeared to be turning white so I assumed they were unfertilized. But I looked in the tank this morning and there is about 50 little babies tucked down in the corner. I have 8 polar blues in this tank so my what I’m wondering is do I need to remove the babies or the parents? Right now the parents are protecting Them and won’t let anyone get near them so they are ok for right this minute but do I have to worry about the parents potentially eating them at any point? Will the parents protect them until their big enough? And then also im wondering when and how much do I feed the baby fish? Thanks for any information sorry this was a little long im just excited ?

The parents will be fine with their offspring. It's the other 6 you'll need to worry about. The young will get sniped 1by1 until there are none left. If you want to raise the babies set up a tank or a breeder net for them and get them out, or remove the other 6 fish. Feed the babies 3 times a day once they are free swimming.
