Hello all,
I just recently bought a Lima and have had it in my tank for about 4 days now and haven't seen it eat. I've tried white bait, prawn, pellets, blood worm and finally feeder fish with no luck.
It spends most of its time during the day under a piece of driftwood which it has claimed. At night it constantly paces up and down the tank.
Its tank mantes are geophagus, raphael cats and chalceus.
Its about 20 cm and I have no idea what it was being fed previously.
Any ideas on getting this guy eating?

I've heard that predatory cats can be finicky, especially after being re-homed. I would just be patient and keep trying a variety of food. Eventually, he should get hungry enough to eat something.

bloodworms, period. if he doesnt eat those id be kinda worried

turn off the lights then drop the food in! my limas used to eat everything they can fit into their mouths once i turned off the lights

btw, i just dropped in some cichlid pellets and some flakes (which clearly wasnt intended for them cuz i thought they needed live fish) and as soon as the lights were off, they were all gone---a few minutes later, i turned on the lights and saw all the limas' bellys were full!

I've turned out the lights and am getting rid of the chalceus because of their skittishness and seem to get the rest of the fish skittish when they freak out.
With the blood worm its very hard to get it down to him because the geos pig it all down before it gets to him.
