thought it would be obvious placing it in 'Setup & Filtration' but I guess not....

basically i was wondering i f there were things i should look out for when looking to purchase a 150gal tank with an overflow and drilled in each corner and the main question:

what kind of investment will be needed for filtration for this size....

now a new question....how do i edit out my number since nobody is going to call till i am in bed....:irked:

Think for a moment how many permutations of possible questions may be formed in this forum and you'll realize why you were asked to be more specific. It could have been anything from airstones, to sponge-HOB-canister-W/D-swamp-semipermeable membrane-sock-bead-sand-biowheel-etc filtration, protein skimming, ad infinitum...

yeah sorry...just was in a hurry...150 gal with full stand and hood for $75 is what i am looking at.....i dont have alot of money and within 2 months at most my fish will have outgrown their current home so i need bigger but dont want to spend $100 on a 55-65 then add a stand and have to upgrade in a yr...

so what am i looking at for filtration.....

the tank has a center overflow and holes drilled in both orners with a light inside the cabinet.

currently i have 3 fish and may add 1 or 2 more to the 150.

sounds like a deal (i would pay $75 for a 150 all day every day).. there are many knowledgable people on this site that can help with the filtration. it already has an overflow and return holes drilled, it would be relatively simple to set up a nice wet/dry system with some guidance from the folks here.

If it's in water-holding, reasonably unscratched condition, jump your ASS off.

they said there are a couple scratches on the front but were unable to photograph them so i assume they are not deep.

short of filling it with water is there a way to determine if it will hold water.......?

do i just do a real close visal on the silicone to see if it looks like it has a strong seal and not dried out? (probably answering my own question)
