If im not mistaken this is a sev but i do not know what kind. i mean its not a gold/green/rotkeil etc. But it has a VERY vibrant Orange in it. More than I usually see. Hes got bad nip fin but they said it is growing back nicely, yet they cannot ID it. (what a fish store) one guy that worked there tried to tell me it was a Orange Chromide and i told him that was not the case due strictly to the fact of the shape of the fish and the spangles. Anyways ive kept Sevs. in my day but never seen one this vibrant orange so any help is much appreciated. they are holding it for me until i can come back and tell them what it is. I want this guy and i want him for a steal. So if anyone can help ide be much obliged. thx guys.

It's a Gold Severum. They are selective bred efaciatus.

It's not a hybrid, just a aquarium selective bred line of Heros Efaciatus. Sorta like the Electric Blue Jack Dempsey. They are not too rare, especially here in NYC. I would just offer him $10 if they said to name your price. It's probably worth about $30.

I dont think Nemesis could have been more clear.
Its a heros efaciatus. Gold morph linebred for the desirable red markings.
Use to be rare, but more common anymore.
Price for this 5"er. No more than $25 pending on where you live.

He should be fine with a little TLC and I would get it. I have a red severum very similar to that and he's gorgeous. I would offer 10-15 and he's probably worth about 20-25 depending where you are.
