i makeing a pond 2500-3500gallon pond does anyone know they best and cheapst way to cool it it gets to around 90-105f its gonna be 4-6feet deep anyone ahve an idead how to cool anything would help:)

get a large freezer run lots of plastic pipe through it and pump pond water through it .
just like a large cooler

would a cooler work by just runing pipes through and fill it up with ice

ok thanks there will be trees and its gonna be outside its gonna be about 4-6feet, and what is evaporative cooling how to you do this

At that depth it should be fine. Use some water lillies and floaters to shade the surface. Like mentioned, if you plant trees and shrubs around the edges, they will help shade some of the water resulting in cooler temps.

as the water falls from the water fall or fountain it will cool also the surface agitation will help heat escape my pool in my backyard is 4ft deep and few weeks ago when we had massive heat wave the pool never went above 85 and that is direct sunlight 90% of the day.. so I don't think with trees and shrubs arround you will have any problems....

o and a cooler filled with ice some water with a good length of hose in it would work in a emergency
