Need help on identifying my arowana

Can some tell me if the little one a black or silver arowana? When I bought it, the guy told me it is a silver. I don't realize how dark it is until I get home and put in together with my silver. I had it for over a month already. His body color haven't change. Can any of you identify it?

Reefman, why is color so different? Will the small one become more silver as it grows?

Young silvers display that pinkish hue. It will fade over time as the fish grows.
