All my Channa Bleheri are doing fine and eating well until suddenly since yesterday one of it is not eating strangely even i try to tempt it with his all time favourite food while the other 2 gobble up like pigs so i know something is amiss but until this morning then i noticed the one that is not eating is having a big long strand of white poo halfway out from his anus and i assumed it shouldbe some kind of internal diease outbreak but i have not much experience in treating white poo/internal diease so hope to get some advise help from u bros who maybe encountered before like how can i treat it ,Thank alot and your help will be greatly appreciated!!!!Currently realli sad to see my that poor channa looking stress and sick:(

white poo? is the poo still stuck or hanging at the fish anus? it maybe tapeworm but you should check the poo first whether it normal white poo or tapeworm. my channa had infected by tapeworm before, sometime the tapeworm were stuck at the fish anus for some time. the fish also lose their appetite and inactive.

i not too sure but i will try to take a photo and upoad to share with u guys, maybe u guys can help me id it better thanks

hi mate , over here ,my choice of med for this would be octozin from waterlife , i find it the best med for any internal infection even worms , and is quite gently on the fish compaired to most other meds , the hard part about doseing it is that it works much better if the fish ingest some of it , so i useally will put 1/4 or slightly less hidden inside some of there food (maybee a problem if fish has stopped eating) and the rest desolved in water as per instructions (this has saved my hundreds of $$$ when i was breeding tropheus). unfortunatly iam not sure if waterlife products are available near you . if not i would ask lfs what he recomends for genral internal meds

cheers col

Bro tropheus, thank alot for your help but so sad to say the medi u recommend to me is no where to be found in LFS of singapore so i guess the another best option is to check with my Local LFS what is the best medi for internal parasite, however still thank alot for your kind response and just now i saw the white poo have come off entirely and i dun think its a worm cos the poo look like a Thick normal shape but Milk white in colour poo lol

Lol Realli sad everytime i see the sick channa floating on the top of the water so Just Run down to the local LFS and gotten a bottle of Interpret No.9 Anti-Internal Bacterial for that sick channa,as soon as i just got back guess what ........................Its DEAD:cry:(Its Like WTH,never even have a chance to treat it and i can only say R.I.P:irked:),Realli sad to see such thing happen as i m just starting to get crazy into channa as these type of sad thing can be quite demoralising but i guess i would get over it soon and try my best to find the main possibiltiy that caused the death of it but now my conclusion is either it already have some internal parasite when i bought it from the LFS which there is no sign yet but it just outbreak when there are some fight going among themselves which stress the fish leading to the immune system dropping down or either will it due to feeding of Live Mealworms which sometimes shell can be hard to digest and leading to intestine blockage ,so far these are the 2 most possible caused i can think of as the other 2 of my channa are still doing pretty fine but still need to moniter as i got them all from 1 same LFS...........Lastly May the Dead Channa R.I.P and the rest that are still living moved on to a better stage

I guess i will like to warned bros who keep channas and discover eventually they do have white poo to treat it asap if u can identify the sickness fast if not its really 50% chance of treating it,either its recover in some time or Sooner or later DEAD!! And the most serious obvious syptom is when the Channa has stop eating and i guess that is a signal telling us that he is very sick as u know Channa are as greedy as Pigs when it come to feeding Routine,i love Channas ,Crazy about them and is serious in keeping them as my daily accompany cute pet friends so i hope to share my sad case for everybros who ever encounter the same diease or if not best as a lesson that altought sometimes we can be new to a kinda species but dun let their Death upset u and make u quit over it if u realli think u love them,Treat them well with your heart and i guess there should be no regret and instead showered more tender and care for those living ones u still have as they still move on while the days goes by and one day i m sure we will got to be at somewhere we can be happy and proud of......:)

poor sh.. sorry for your lose. :(
