I want to get some kind of monster fresh water fish. I would like something resistant to over feeding, and and fast growing. Something that would take live food off the top of the tank would be real nice, I like to hand feed stuff.
I would prefer a fish that likes a water a little on the acidic side, if that matters much with fish. Max size is not an issue, I have tons of room for a bigger tank.

Any info would be a great help.:D

What tank and fish do you already have?
PH matters quite a bit.
What fish on MFK have caught your eye?
People here can help but need more info to begin with.
Also what do you consider a big tank?

I have a garage i could set up something the size of an out of ground swimming pool in if i grew something to that size. Something in PH 5.5 to 6.0 would be great.
I'v looked at a lot of fish on youtube I'm not too piceky about how it looks. Mainly a fish that can take the PH of my water and likes to eat a lot and is not too shy.

Like I've suggested to many people before...Neon tetra.

Size not an issue? Bull shark.

If not, come back here with some tank dimensions and try again.

If you are looking at over 300g a Albino Channel cat is fast growing and you can hand feed them.

Can a bull shark live its full life in fresh water? That sounds awesome, I'd need a thicker stand up pool though....

Albino Channel Cat sounds like a good idea. Cats grow faster based on the tank size right? Would a few of them do good in the same tank?

We need to know what size tank it is before we can suggest fish.
