i am planning on building my first plywood tank... i have an old school 55gal tank that i dismantled due to it having a small chip on one of the corners. i was planning on rebuilding it back up but instead thought if i could use both front and back glass piece to build myself a plywood tank and go bigger than a 55gal but, i don't know how to go about it and how big i can turn it into... i was thinking of using one glass for the front and the other for the side or perhaps make two plywood tanks with just front glass...
any suggestions from the plywood tank builders or if anyone know where i can get more info as to how big i can build one without going too big as to it applying too much pressure on the glass...o_0
THANKS!

well since from what I have read the tanks height is what puts a big effect on how thick you glass has to be. with using the glass that you already have you could make a big tank with 2 viewing windows next to each other. or make it a corner cube tank, using the front and back. I would really think about the fish/ aquatic turtle that you might want to house in the aquarium before you decide on how to build your tank.

I was planning on doing the same thing, but making the tank ten feet long. Just build the front with lumber, with a brace running down the middle, and put the glass in. I was gonna make mine about 3' wide, maybe 4'.
