Just came up with this new tank its probably around 100 gallons, plexiglass the previous owner gave it to me for free:headbang2:naughty: he used it as a saltwater tank. So i have some questions

1)What's the best way to clean it and make it freshwater friendly?
2)There's lots of hoses that attach to the back(look at pics), how do I filtrate? I understand the concept and stuff but if anyone has something similar and could take a pic of what it looks like that would be *****in. Also I will be replacing the hoses because they are salty and gross.
3)Is there anything I should know? let me know

any info would be awesome, thanks

uhm you can clean it with plane water or dilute a little bleach to kill of any bacteria. and as for filtration... kinda loooks like the tank at my lfs where the sump is built directly in the back of the tank.. not sure though.

i wouldnt use bleach...come on anybody have pics of what the filtration on this would look like? i cleaned it out today just with water, i read vinegar is good to clean so ill use a lil later, and theres a leak but i have aquarium sealant to fix that tommorow....somebody...any more info would be awesome

Looks like it is an acrylic tank. If the aquarium sealant you have is silicone, it will not bond to the acrylic and eventually fail.

You have a wet/dry trickle filter built into the back of the tank. Do some research on these, understanding how they work should help you with yours.

it says plexiglass on the bottom of the tank, and i fixed the the leak, i'll test it tommorow once its all dry and sat for 24 hours, i understand the concept behind the wetdry trickle thing but theres not pictures on the web of one that looks like mine i just want to see the picture of where the rubber pipes go, the pump, heater, etc. save me a trip to my not so good lfs for advice...
