Need help please!!

What size tank do you need for 4 knife fish that are currently 9inches - I dont know what kind so post for any type of knife fish in general. I am trying to help someone out and dont want to give misleading information. I know they all grow to pretty decent sizes.

i would say atleast 300 or bigger for reg knifes thats my opinion

I honestly dont know what kind they are but in general what thank size? I was thinking 300gal also b/c I know that some can grow to 30-40inch range.

Hard to say without knowing type. If it's an African Brown Knife, they only get 8-12 inches. Clown knife 3ft plus. Ghost knife 15-20 inches.

Thats my thoughts-
Really need to know the specimen to determine the right size tank for the knives...

Yah I asked for the type but now I have to wait for an answer I told them tank size will vary on type so once I find out I will post here =]
