so i walk in my room today, and i notice both of my baby(2 1/2 in) pecock bass are both on the bottom not moving very much. they are still alive but i noticed theyre color has faded and theyr very sluggish. my theory is that i over fed them last nigh, it was theyr first live food feeding and they ate 3 feeder gupies each. my second theory is that maby scienc i left the light off all day it had an effect on them. any advice is appreciated, please help me!!! also, i am new to peacocks so how often should i feed them, and how much.

they are sleeping.

my 18''+ peacock bass does the same.. when my fish room is dark it gradually fade itself and stay still.

Whats your water temp at? Do you have an airstone in the tank? What are their tankmates? HOw big is the tank? When was the last time you did a water change?

Small cichla(8" and under), should be kept at 86-88 degrees. The water should be heavily oxyginated. They shouldnt have tankmates that will bully them around too much.....they will bully eachother around a little. And frequent wc's should be made. Atleast once a week depending on tank size and stock.

Gangster is right, water changes go a long in keeping them less stressed.
