My 10 gallon tank broke with my 3" Senegal in it. Would I be able to place him in a 55 gallon tank with African Cichlids?

whats the size difference between the bichir and cichlids?Off hand i probably would not recomend it

The cichlids are around 2"

I would try it if you have not where else to put it. Maybe make some new hiding places so there are no fights. Also in my limited experience with cichlids they are more interested in each other than bichirs. On the other hand your bichir could very well kill them when the lights are off.

I have found the above as well. Aggression IME tends to be directed towards the same or similar species types. As always be watchfull. Good Luck
