My dragon wrasse has gone missing this morning. He usually comes out when he is ready from the sand but I can't find him anywhere. I removed all the live rock and still can't find him and don't see him in the sump. He's still a juvenile. Is he stuck in the overflow pipe? I don't know how to take the pipe off to check!

Please Help!

dig in the sand you'll find him. they bury themselves

He's probably in the sand but make sure you have no holes in the rocks. I did that when i first started out and found mine dead 2 months later in a tiny hole in one of the rocks i took out.

He's too big for holes in the rocks... I got all my fish out of the tank except him now, put them in my quarantine tank, and now it's off to looking for him.

keep us updated. mine always slept underneath about a 1/2 inch of sand

lol they always sleep in the sand. grats on finding him

I've a dragon goby. Did almost the same thing. I have fake plants with huge leaves. A few leaves were covered with sand from her rearranging. I could'nt find her when feeding time came. I put on gloves and started carefullly taking out all her stuff to hide in. While I was going through the sand, she suddenly bursts out from underneath the sand covered leaf. Scared the cr*p out of me! It tooks a few seconds before it stopped zig-zagging in the tank, flying from side to side, I know it must have bumped against the glass at least 4-5 times. Poor thing! From now on, unless it's floating, or the water smells bad, I'm taking it for granted that it's still alive in there! Lesson Learned :D:popcorn:
