Need help setting up my first Dat tank

went to the LFS today and say the dat of my dreams. i JUST set up my tank like 3 day ago, and am letting it cycle. i didnt want to risk killing that baby. but anyays what is the ideal level of PH, ammonia , and water temp for those guys. any info would help

ammonia is easy, that would be ZERO for all fish, as for pH I believe as long as it is stable the actual number doesn't matter too much, water temp I believe is about 78*F

I keep my dats at a pH of 7.0, NH3 is ALWAYS 0.0, and temp is at 80.

If you want to beef your dats up quicker, keep the temp up around the 80 - 82 area. Just remember to supply LOTS of air if you run the tank warmer. And with a warmer tank you have a higher metabolism so you will be feeding more and doing more water changes...at least once a week.

I keep my Dats at 80, they seem most active at that.
