Need help sexing JD!

It's a male, and it's not to early to sex.
It's not new information on the forum, but here I go for the OP :
1) Males have lots of colored dots on their side and none to very few on their gill plates;
2) Females, on the other hand, have few colored dots on their sides but their gill plates have lots or are all blue (see my avatar for female dempsey example).
3) The litterature on the subject often says that males have pointed fins and females rounded fins; that is not the case anymore.
