No need to yell at my I know this is too much for my tank. It is soon to be very over stocked. All fish are still under 7" so its not too bad yet.

100gal 5'

1 Green severum 6" (has to stay)
1 Red spot severum 3"
1 Hoplarchus psittacus 6" (will become the biggest fish I know)
2 Uarus 5 & 6" ( Came from very poor conditions I think they are stunted)
1 Blue acara 4" female 3yr
1 EBJD 4" (Pretty sure he will not get much bigger hes deformed and 1yr)
1 Buffalo head 3" ( also might be stunted Don't want to let him go)

The Green severums has to stay he is my baby all others I would consider letting go. The way it is now the Uaru rule the tank we call them the Mafia. so not one fish gets picked on they have there pecking order all worked out so when I let some go I don't know what will happen.

Show me how you would sort out this tank and why thanks.

Here is the tank with all thoes fish in it.

It would be hard for me to let go of the Psittacus. If you are willing to let him go, then you can probably keep the two Uaru, Acara, and the stunted EBJD and Buffalo head. I think this would work the best for the longest. Eventually i think the Uaru will need more space.

Sorry about that. I didn't see that you had to keep the Green Severum. If this is the case forget about my last post and go with Fish on Fire's suggestion.

Yeah I think the Uaru need to go. They are the jerks of the tank. But they have grown on me. They have so much personality it took them a long time to come around. It was my plan in the first place to just nurse them to health and find them a new home. I guess I should stick to that plan.

So does anyone want my Uaru? I don't want to just dump them off at a pet store. Free to good home. Fish on fire I see you are in NorCal ;).

I'm in college right now bro, no big tank up here to house anything larger than 4-5" in.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but I think the psittacus is the one who is going to outgrow that tank. At only about 9 months old, mine is 7" and growing extremely quickly. It's about to become the biggest fish in my tank and it's letting everyone know who's boss. A few people here have posted pictures of males that were 12"+ and they made large tanks look very small. How wide is the tank? I think the parrot is going to be the problem fish as it grows. Maybe not in aggression, but at least in size.

I would keep the two severums and two Uaru, and the acara and EBJD would probably be okay as well.

Your Uaru may adjust their pecking order if you remove fish. All cichlids do that, though.

I don't want to call the uaru aggressive but they are bossy and nip. They rule the tank the parrot is not that high on the pecking order yet. The uaru aka the mafia keep all in check because my severum and parrot hate eachother other wise. They get along because the mafia makes them.

My other plan was let the parrot go only problem is I don't want to drop him off at the pet store. Only to end up with someone that knows nothing about keeping fish and get HITH. She is a beauty and very healthy. I have already posted an add on CL and here no interest. Unless I ship her but I have never done that.
