Need Help stocking a 75g tank

Just joined MFK and would really appreciate some advice. Just bought myself a 75g tank for my birthday and I don't necessarily know what I want to put in it. I kind of want an EBJD or an arowana, but I'm up for suggestions. Anything that looks cool would be good.


Set it up like a week and a half ago, it's a bit cloudy and there are just goldfish in there now, fake plants, and two pieces of driftwood. Thanks!

You don't have the tank for an arowana. Do you want color and a lot of fish or a couple predators?

EBJD are nice fish but I didn't realize how passive they can be. Mine is with angel fish. If you go that route I like geophagus too

Yea, tank is definitely too small for arowana, but if your looking for color, jack dempsey, green terror, jaguar cichlid, convict cichlids, blood parrots, Texas cichlid etc.... I would say Oscar, but eventually he/she would need that whole 75 to their self.

EBJD and green terror not a good mix. Check out some of the smaller vieja species--- hartwegi comes to mind.

I'm getting the fish as juveniles so would that make a difference or not?
