Have you tested your water?
No
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes

3 weeks ago my Channa Aurantimaculata (Golden Cobra Snakehead) began acting weird by flashing violently and sometimes diving down to the gravel and flicking his body HARD against the rocks, which would cause some scales to fall off him. When his flashing happens he will clamp all his fins and look very stressed. I thought it had skin/gill flukes due to the symptoms and treated the channa with Prazi Gold for 2 weeks (with a break in between) to ensure the adult and egg cycle of flukes would be killed. The flashing and flicking drastically reduced by 80% but he still does it occasionally. His appetite has always been strong and he is on a 100% carnivore pellet diet (never any live feeders). He is always eager to strike the second the pellet hits the water!

I’ve done water changes, gravel vacuuming, adding more SeaChem Matrix media to my filter but it never solved his symptoms.

Today I woke up and noticed that there was a weird patch under his chin that I never noticed before. It’s greyish in color and looks a bit fuzzy. Is this a fungal infection that could be causing his symptoms?

I need your experiences to identify it and suggest what medicine is good to treat it! Need your help! F4101F32-AC6E-4047-8D95-88277A7848A9.jpeg

Looks like it got injured with something. I’d try some triple sulfa if available. Clean water. Good luck.
