somewhere over here
my overflow box is not draining water fast enough
the water in my sump is shooting out faster then
my over flow box is draining
the water level in my tank is half an inch
higher then the grooves or teeths on the inside box
is it possible to get the tank level to the
bottom level of the grooves
should i add another one of those u shaped tubes
sump is useless this way
pls.. help?

it sounds like your pump is too big for the overflow . adding a second U tube will increase the flow only if the output of the overflow . what i did with mine was to add a t to the pump output and 2 valves one on each output of the T and then directed one of them back to the sump . this way i can get the most flow that the overflow will handle ...

Hope this helps

thanks for info guys
and the pump im using is a preetty
sml one
im thinking its not draining the way it should th
it looks kinda slow
i think i did something wrong
is it possible to get that air bubble in the u tube
completly out
or smallar
or it will be the same size every time u try
sucking the air out

Care to post a picture?

That bubble might be part of the problem. One way would be to slide one end of an air line into the u-tube, to where the bubble is, and suck on the other end of the air line.

Is the water level inside your overflow box the same level inside your tank? If it is, then you need to add another siphon inside your box. Water should always "fall" down into the box in order to properly surface skim.
