I'd keep it bare bottom for easy maintenance. The choice is still up to you. What size of discus are you planning to get?
First thing you should do is read like crazy before jumping in. Discus are very sensitive fish early on, and are easily stunted. Next, you should get a group of them, of at least 4. Do you have bloodworms?? Next, be ready to do massive regular water changes. Do you have the tank cycled already? What temp are you keeping it at?
the tank is emptied im thinking of leaving it for a month cyclying. and im thinking of setting 82 degrees?? and yes i got a whole freezer of bloodworms xD i usally feed em to my pacu but now they are for my discus
