I treated my water with quick cure about 2 or 3 days ago because one of my discus had the little white spots on his fins. I removed the discus and put him in another tank. My silver looks fine and healthy but now when ever I turn on the light in the tank he like wigs out and goes to sit on the bottom. He used to stay at the top and wait for me to feed him and swim around. I did a water change yesterday about 25 % and he is still acting the same. Water conditions are ppm. amonia, ph 7.0 , nitrates are at 5 ppm, nitrites are 0ppm water temp is 81. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

mines sometimes does that but from what you just said you added the medication in the tank when the discus and arowana were still together which isnt a good idea to add medications to a whole tank which the medication was only meant to be for a particular fish...you should have move your discus first then added the medication in the hospital tank :nilly: plus your medication that you used in the tank might have given an reaction to your Arowanas mental stability. Like their were a change with the physical water with added liquids

oh unless you already did move your discus to another tank and medicated it their then your arowana may just be chilling around maybe tired but its not really likely any arowana should be laying around on the bottom when any large bottom feeding killer could be lurking

wow, my jar is like that right now he's fine with the light on before but recently when i turn on the light its like he's playing dead he would slowly sink to the bottom and it almost looks like he's curling up but when i turn the light off he'll jump up, again its like he's playign dead with me...

did you miss a feeding they may h8 you now...jk mine did that once but then he got murder the next day :(

He only acts like this if I am around I must have rally pissed him off or scared him. I can go stand in the corner of the room and he will go back to swimming at the top of the tank. If he sees me he starts flipping out again and goes back to the bottom of the tank.

he prbly scared of you stay around they tank whact ty by it and he come back out :)
