Need help with a tank

So I just got this I believe 150 gallon tank from a guy. As we were tanking this tank out of the truck. It has strips of glass going down the seams of the tank. The whole thing is glass and is heavy. These glass strips broke but not the tank. I took pics in hopes someone could tell me what to cover it with. Also I didn't like the stand that came with it. Its waaaaay to heavy to move. I would like to build a strong stand. Yet just not so heavy. I will take pics of the whole tank when I get a chance.

Doesnt look very strong. Id run some silcone everywhere glass meets glass. If that inside glass broke that means there was poor/ or old silicone to begin with. The outer thicker glass flexed causing this to break. 150gal is alot of water pressure, and i wouldnt take the chance.

The tank itself is fine. I am not sure why someone put glass strips on the outside. So there has to be a way to either take it off or cover it. Not one crack in the actual tank.
