Hi,
My m.johanii's been holding for more than a month, so yesterday I decided to move her to another tank on her own, so that the fry won't be released in with the other africans.
I managed to catch her after completely stressing her and myself out, but when she was the tub I was using to transfer her, she released her fry. I put her and the fry into the smaller tank anyway, but she's not picked them back up, and I've only seen 1 of the fry since.
The tank's decorated (not the best thing I know) so hopefully they'll be hiding, but I was wondering if she'd have eaten them?

Also, whats the best thing for me to do now? Put her back into the main tank, or leave her in 'with the fry', which may/may not exsist anymore?

Thanks!

Cheers mike. I found quite a few fry today hiding so they're ok. I think I'll put her back with the others today, because she's just hiding in this tank, and eating very little. Maybe if she feels more comfortable she'll eat with the rest of them.

Nice shot! How old are the fry? Mine are about as long as your fingernail! lol! Absolutely tiny! I think I'm going to transfer mom back tonight. Only thing is, she's the only female johanni I have with the male, so I don't want her getting killed. Was going to wait until I get another johanni, then put a few females in together, but don't know when the LFS will get another few in at the right size!
