I just discovered on tuesday that my apistos have bred. I watched for a while and saw the male eat one of the fry so i put him in a breeding container and let the female stay with them since she has been doing a really good job so far. i have piled up rocks and plants to try to make as many tiny places for these guys to hide in as possible and have put a sponge and an empty filter insert over the filter intake. My question is what else do you guys suggest i should do? Should i seperate the female from the fry or leave her with them? I havent yet because she is doing a great job keeping them together and she keeps trying to fight the male in the trap. This is the first time ive gotten apistos to breed so some expert advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
