Need help with aquascape

So I am doing a 29 gallon for some member of the convict family and I have no Idea how to set it up. I was just going to use tons of wood but they really don't come from that sort of encionment so I used rocks but im not sure. I plan to add some java fern and other hardy plants but this is what I have so far...

It looks a lot like an african tank. You can get some really great ideas by browsing the planted/aquascape forums of MFK and you may want this thread moved there to get feedback

It looks good but, why wouldn't they.
Don't they have trees in Guatemala,Elsalvador,CostaRica, or Panama? lol
Just giving ya a hard time.

Yeah I know it looks like an african cichlid tank maybe some wood would make it look better. Im sure they have trees in central america but there are a ton of round rocks I found by looking at thier habitat. I wanted to create planty of caves for them so the female has places to hide and rocks work well with that. Im going to see if I can't find some wood to put in here aybe that will help make it looks more central amercanee.

Not bad. I'd still go with a few plants. Possibly live.

yeah Im definatly adding plants java fern some vals and maybe anubias. Hopefully whatever I get likes thier setup.

Much better. I wouldn't do any plants; it looks fine and they'll probably get torn up anyways..
