I have a blue loach who has been hiding alot more than usual and today i noticed hes looking quite bloated. Heres the problem, i dont hav any medication right now and the shops r closed until tomorow. I do not want to medicate my 310 gal cuz obviously itll take a lot of meds...I dont wanna use salt because I have zeolite which will discharge with salt.

I have 2 other tanks with fish that are smaller so I could put him in there but I dont have a net that reaches deep enough to get him out. I just did a 50% water change and I figured Ill just not feed for like a week to see if he gets over it. Im pretty sure its caused by constipation cause my water params are perfect and my loach has been eating sturgeon food, which might be hard to digest for him.

Do you think if I do a lot of water changes and dont feed for a while he will get over it?

You still have to do water changes to maintain good water quality. Fast him for a week and remember to feed him sparingly only when you're done.

i did not think of that! i finally moved him to another tank... took some doing but i got him out. Now Im not so sure if hes bloated or if hes just a fat bastard...
im just gonna keep him in here for like a week and monitor him... if it doesnt increase or decrease... then hes just a fat bastard...
if it increase i have a problem... if it decreases... i just needa keep him away from that sturgeon food!
