Yey bay bay
so i have a friend who is trying to breed some cherry red shrimp, he had a few that died due to not molting properly, his tand is stable and i even tested his water perimiters and it came out fine. So my question is how can his shrimp molt properly without them dying?

They need calcium in the tank to molt properly, add some shells or cutterbone. Cutterbone floats so it will need to be placed under the substrate. I have a 10g tank and have a piece of cutterbone unter the rocks in it and am cross breeding my shrimps. Also if your friend is breeding I suggest getting baby fog for the fry or other fry specific food to make sure your fry are getting the proper nutrition.

The shrimp food is perfect, they should be able to multiply fast with it especially if the bacter age sinks or is powder. The tank set up is also perfect and the plants should quickly be covered with baby shrimp. It seems your friend just needs calcium to help them molt.

Do cherry shrimp can be picky on what they eat?

No, they aren’t picky eaters but the shrimp dinner provides a lot more nutrients for the adult shrimp that most generic shrimp foods don’t have. I feed mine Hikari Shrimp Cuisine because it’s similar to the shrimp dinner your friend has.

If he just introduce the new food, how long does the shrimp accepts it as food?

The rock is amazing. Your friend seems to be doing everything right. I’d show you a pic of my tank, but it’s cloudy due to medicine. I have a sick fish.
