need help with coldwater fish can i give them tropical meds??

hello and i need to treat some coldwater cats for parasites i have those little fizzy tablets by jungle. but they say there for tropical freshwater fish would they work for cold also?

the only reason they put the lable of for tropical fresh water fish is to let you know 2 things that it is unsafe for salt water fish and unsafe for food fish as it can cause harm to humans. you shuld be fine to treat with that but if you read the ingreadiance and it says malacite green dont use it on cats it is realy nasty. i use copersafe by mardel or are you talking about internal parasites?

if you are talking internal or both internal and external they have meds for that aswell the company is sentryAQ product name mardel maracyn tc. and they dont stain the silicon of your tank like most other treatments do

Your fine. I treat my koi with "tropical meds" all the time (and NO they didn't die).
