I plan on doing a rubbermaid sump.. but not the kind with like the 100gal tubs.. which I think an actual rubbermaid sump is..
I plan on using the drawer kind..

And I planned on going with 1.25" pvc with the HOB overflow (I believe it's called)

What would be a good sump pump to use for this? It seems like you don't want one that's "too strong" and definitely not "too weak".. so i'm kind of in a dilemma there..

Also, Where would be the best place for my pump? It wouldn't really work in the bottom drawer because the output is pointed straight up....

Suggestions? Help? Pleaaaaaaase and Thank you!!

pics of drawer? usually you have the drawer inside a rubber maid...

here's mine.

Yeah. You'd have to have the drawers in some sort of container. Either it be a rubbermaid container or another tank/sump. Run the drains from the tank into the top drawer and drill holes in the bottom of each drawer. Place the return pump outside of the drawers in whatever you decide to use to hold it. This is how my sump is set up and it works beautifully!

Don't have the drawers yet.. trying to get everything together before I go buy stuff.. but it'd look something similar to yours.. maybe not quite that tall.. Do you happen to have more pictures?

Well I found a rubbermaid tub kinda thing today that barely fit in my stand so I suppose that would work.. and where exactly is the water going to go after it hits the bottom drawer? Just drill holes in the sides and bottoms of the bottom drawer or what? and then find a submersible pump and just set it in the rubbermaid tub? Also, do you have any pictures of your set up that you could share? Please and thank you!

I actually pulled out the bottom drawer so it was off of the bottom. And yeah, just place a submersible pump in with a return line to the main tank. I put up a thread to my entire set up a week or two ago. I'll post a link here in a bit.

Link would be fabulous, and I never thought about taking out the bottom drawer, hmm, good idea lol.. Thanks for the assistance!

That does wonders for me! Only question I have now is what would be the best pump for me? Or would you (and everyone else) need to see like my actual set up (drawers and whatnot) before you could kinda "size and pick" a pump for me?
Thinking either Danner Pond Mag 9.5 orrrr a Quiet one 4000 for a pump.. any more suggestions?

Also, NoBulkheadOverflow.jpg .
The area that I circled in red, isn't there supposed to be like an "air line valve" or something right there that'd get the siphon started? What is that? Could someone possibly explain that to me? or even link it to me? Please and thank you!

Also, again, Does water ever like overflow any of your drawers?

The size of the pump all depends on the volume of water your overflow can handle. I have No experience with the overflow you plan on using since my tank is drilled, wo in regards to the airline you asked about I'm not sure. If you know the maximum flow rate of the overflow you should be able to pick an appropriate pump. I run a danner mag drive 12. And My two 1" standpipes have no problematic keeping up. Good luck!

Oh and as far as water spilling out of the drawers, yes I had an issue at first. Just put more holes in the bottom of the drawers. Problem solved! Sorry for all the spelling/grammar issues. I'm using the Android app and my auto correct is stupid.
