I just recently (5 days ago) got my 5-6.5" pbass off of live food, with the exception of one. I am currently feeding cut shrimp. I starved them for about a week and they have all been eating like pigs for the past few days, except the one. It is showing no interest in dead foods at all and I am getting a little worried about it, because it hasnt eaten anything since i started starving them. It looks perfectly healthy and is not looking skinny, but I am still worried. Anyone have any ideas how to get it to start eating? I dont want to add feeders into the tank again.

Can you separate it?

Leave it a couple of more days. They can go longer than 5 days.

im having same prob withone of mine

it has been longer than 5 days. I starved them for a week prior to the rest o them accepting the cut shrimp, so its been like 10-12 days since it has last eaten.

i broke down today and bought a few rosys. It had been 2 weeks since it had eaten so i figured starving it was just going to kill it. The others were stuffed so the one that wasnt eating got most of the 20 rosys I bought. I dropped them in one at a time, and the fish that hadnt eaten was attacking them with vigor, but seemed to be having difficulty swallowing them and they were small. Do you think there could be something blocking his throat that is discouraging it from eating? If so is there anything I can do to remedy it.

either be strong and keep offering shrimp and no feeders no exceptions. Or seperate the one that wont eat the shrimp and follow the sticky on how to pellet train. I'm having the opposite problem. I got my growouts onto crushed massivore/vitachem and hikari carnisticks. Now they wont touch tilapia  which is what they were originally eating.

I had 3 growouts. 2 took a week and a half to take silversides. 1 was very stubborn. I been going back and forth to feeders for months trying to get that stubborn one on silversides. Finally I said screw it ill only offer silversides, if that one dies, o well. Call me a dick but hats how I felt. So it took the stubborn on Damn near a month. Now I got them all smashing silversides coated in crushed pellets.
