Hey guys. Been awhile since I posted but I need some help figuring out what is wrong.

Have a 3 month old Motoro pup. Her tail is showing some signs of some kind of issue going on.
She is also from what I can tell is not eating much and is not very active.

She is in a tank with another pup. Nothing else.
Other pup is fine. Eating and active
There is no substrate in the tank and no other tank mates beside the one other pup.

Anyone have any ideas what is going on with her tail and what the best thing to do for her.
No way for her to burn herself on the heater, so thats not it.
No other equpiment for her to get cought up in. Powerhead in the tank is only on when I turn it on to stir the water up some. (I do this everyday for at least 4 hours and it is high in the tank.

Seems to be getting worse. Started seeing bone yesterday and more flwch gone today.
Only food she is fed is fresh blackworms daily.

Anyone?

Was one of my thoughts to. Never seen the other pup doing anything to her but Im not watching them all the time either. Both pups are the same age. Born with in a few days apart.

Is it rubbing on something corse ?
My rays bite each others tails all the time and looks like that . I used to keep clown loaches also but I discoverd they are worse ,they would nip the crap out of my old motoros .

No, its a bare bottom tank. Its a tank I only use for my pups till they are large enough to sell or go into my other systems. Just never something like this happen before.

what about filter inlet / outlet ? and could the tail get stuck in the heater guard ?

if there is nothing else in the tank and its only happening to the end of the tail and not affecting the rays disc or the other ray then i would assume its the other ray biting the tail.

it usually stops getting bitten when the tail gets to where the stinger ends ( ive seen a few female rays with tails that stop at the end of the stinger ).

cant get stuck on the inlet or outlet of the filter. Not how I have it set up and the heater guard is just a piece of PVC with small holes drilled in it. So my quess is like yalls, has to be the other ray. I added a divider to keep them apart for now till she is not so stressed. Her coloring is also spotty. Looks like she maybe stressed. She didnt eat last night either from what I can tell, if she did, it was very very little. Added some salt to tank, added more carbon just in case and got her seperated for the moment. We will see how she does.. Just hope she starts eating more soon.
