NEED HELP WITH FILTER

hi i have a question i need help with
i have a 55 gallon tank with a Aqua tech 30-60 filter on it now the pics below show that it has a filter and what looks like small black rocks in a tray behind it( guessing its carbon)... but there isn'tany of those white rocks for amonia? theres a pic of a bag of them from a different filter should i stick that bag in the small gap behind filter???

are you having issues with ammonia?

if not.. why would you add magic rocks...

What pictures are you talking about? The aquatech is a very poorly designed filter, I would look into modifying it or replacing it.
