Need help with fish identification!!

Hey all! Chriz here!
Just went to the LFS and the shop owner told me that he had a female betta(Fighting) fish.So I got it from him,but knowin the shop owner,he can get his facts wrong at times.So I need confirmation if this is a female betta fish!
