What's up DYIers!
I'm hoping to get some help making some glass lids for my soon to be aro tank.
I've read articles where arowanas tend to jump and break glass lids and the lids should be at least 12mm thick.
So my question is, does anyone here have any ideas as to what I should do in order to accomplish hinges on them?
I'd like to have the lids swing up & down.
I hope I made sense.

You could silicone some hinges on the glass.

Genius!! Stainless steel?? Or is there such thing as plastic? And is will it be strong enough to hold 12mm thick glass?

how nice does it need to look ??
Does not need to be nice at all. I will be working on a canopy as funds come along ;)

is what I was going to say.

You could probably use either. With plastic hinges, it would depend on how strong the plastic is. I would probably just use stainless myself.

I'd agree with stainless over plastic every time

Thank you everyone, I appreciate it so much.
I'll go with stainless steel hinges and use silicone.
