I have some jungle vals that ive been trying to get to grow in my cichlid tank. The fish dont bother the plant at all i orderd 5 and only one did ok its growing some but not great. Its growing runners atm but the leaves are brown on it and a few new leafs on the plant are brown. I use pool filter sand, and a 12" plant groth light and a old 3 ft light. I dont so any ferts or anything. Can anyone help me get this val to start bushing out really thick and grow lots of runners

you need ferts. co2 and light to make plants go, since you said you are not using ferts you can expect slow growth. i would recommend seachem excel for co2 and seachem flourish for the trace minerals and potassium plants need to grow.
