need help with jurupari troubles

yesterday my severums spawned in my 55g community again. last night and this morning everything was fine. i went out this afternoon to study and came back home and found my 4" jurupari got the crap beat out of him, prolly the severums but also my brasiliensis is being a jerk to him.

right now the only other tank running that he can go into is going to be my 20g long but its got a few growouts in it, 5 2" h. psittacus and a 3" flagtail. will he be ok in this 20g long for about half a month. i will give him a 55g with 2 bichirs and a datnoid then when i move.

i would say you have no choice but to move him...if he stays where he is his chance of survival looks slim.... good luck

I see no choice either. Poor thing's got a breeding pair of cichlids at one end and one of the more aggressive Geos at the other, I'd move him. Just do extra water changes to keep water quality good in the 20 Long. Or pick up his own 20 Long at PetsMart for $30.

I'd go with Twisted's idea of giving him his own 20G L. That should hold a 4" jurupari fine for a month.

well i moved him into the 20L shortly after posting the thread in fears he might not make it through the night. i doesd with meds and he seems to be doing fine. the true parrots are a little sceptical of him since he's about 3 times their size but he's peacefull with them. i sign my lease for the new apt. next firday and ill move once my finals are over on the 10th. im building a double 55g stand, one tank for the sevs the other for him, the parrots(until they are big enough for my 125g), dat and bichirs. so he will be moved by the middle of december.

he will do great for that amount of time..he will enjoy the stress free environment and not much competition for food..so he will thrive after a little R&R.
