Need help with lid!

My 90 gallon tank off Craigslist is almost ready to go but I got a new lid for it and it doesn't fit! I think the tanks old, it said from 1996 or something, but it holds water and is nice. Have aquarium lids changed or what's my problem?

The lid looks like it for a 55, not a 90. I would remove the back piece and measure how much space is left. Then go to glass shop and have them cut a new piece to fit the gap. Just make sure its the same thickness.

Most glass canopies are made by either All-Glass (now called Aqueon) or Perfecto. There is a difference in size between the two. You probably have the wrong one for your tank.

No. That's not the problem. In the lid was folded over. The problem is that the width is half an inch too big.

That's what I get for not paying too close attention. I was looking front to back, not side to side. My bad.
