need help with my 20 gallon

well im new to the hobby and starting out small so not to over well myself. what kinda plants and fish would do well to make an awesome planted community tank? any help would be help full.

Go on youtube and look for "diy co2". Seriously, all you need is an empty 2 liter bottle, water, sugar, yeast, and some air tubes and you're good to go. All of that can't possibly be over 10 dollars.

i am a big fan of very small fish but it just matters to you really. i would start with low light plants like anubias java ferns and moss. what kind of lighting do you have now?

well you can always do something like a standard hood that takes screw in bulbs and put cfl bulbs in it. it would be your cheapest option. also you could always get a t5 or cf lighting for it but it would be more costly.

Do a java moss wall. No Ko two (CO2) required (not really).
Then get some driftwood and tie java fern to it.
Do two school of tetras, rams and cories.

it really depends on what you want to do. you can have a fully planted low light tank that looks great just have limited options. the more light you add the more options you have. once you start adding too much you will have to get into co2 and ferts.
