the clown will only eat hatched fully grown brine shrimp some flakes that float past him in his pot.the bgk will eat the same brine shrimp ,shrimp pellts flakes,krill but his favorite is the hakari brine shrimp.the bgk is 5" and ck is 6".do they grow quick?what should i try feeding them different.am i doing good for my first knifes.i read they are nocturnal.i have blue moon light rope light so i can see the bgk and ck in action swimming around the tank with the lights off.my ck are those nard on his mout.he looks sweet.he has very nice fins and dots.the bgk is very nice in black-blue color.are bgk blind?when do they get more active?

First off how large is your tank?
Secondly we'll start with the clown. You could starve it for 2-3 days and then try other foods. Currently mine is @ ~12" and eats feeders and nightcrawlers. Trying to get him onto frozen shrimp. If possible, don't start feeding him feeder fish. It can get pretty expensive. Also, they tend to grow pretty quick when young. Mine grew about 9" in a few months. They get large (~40" long) and so a large tank (250 gal min IMO) will be recommended. I don't think you'll be able to keep the two knives together for more than a few months. The Clown will outgrow the bgk pretty quick, and then you'll have to move one of them if you want the bgk to not become dinner for the clown.
As for the bgk being blind, I've read that they aren't, but they do have very poor eyesight and primarily use a form of electromagnetic sonar to find their way. Hope this helps. I don't have much info on how to raish bgk as the two I purchased from petsmart died within 2 weeks of purchase. So I stopped buying them as it was gettin' too expensive (They'd croak 1-2 days after the warranty expired)

well wild clowns get 40" biggest anyone has on her is about 2 ft.i doubt he will even get that big.also ill have my 250 gallon by then so my bk will have the 125 to himself.
Very nice. I've had the one in my avatar for about 5-6 months. Got him when he was only about 2". He was supposed to be a royal knife (that's what the lfs claimed and sold him to me as.) I've called them back about it but they insist that it's a royal. Oh well, what can you do? Right now he has a double layer of spots on him. He's actually turning out to be a very pretty fish.
i have my 12" clown knife on hikari sinking carnivore pellets and earthworms and it is very easy to get them off live foods and onto dried or frozen IMO and most of my clown knives that i had didn't really grow that fast.
i have also had a bgk and people say they are blind and they are not they have very little eyes and they are very cool fish as well you clown knife might beat him up a little bit. And also bgks dont grow so fast as well or at least the ones i had didnt grow fast at all.
