Need help with my flowerhorn

My flowerhorn is almost at 3 inches. Yesterday i did a general cleaning (gravel vac, scrubbing of algea from glass and water change) i just notice that my flowerhorns vent/Anus? is protruding. Is their something wrong or is this normal? My flowerhorn just keeps biting at the parts that i havent removed the diatom algea. Its like he's eating it or trying to remove it .

Its a female and wants to release its eggs. Water changes helps in initiating its instinct to spawn. The biting on the algae is her way of preparing where she wants to lay her eggs.

You can give her a day to enjoy them but yes, remove if infertile. Will foul water quickly
